 Tordoff claims 4th place in QRA Motocross ChampionshipAug 2007Anderson ATV’s are celebrating today as Ricky Tordoff claimed 4th place overall in the QRA Motocross Championships this weekend.
It’s been a tough season of stopping and starting due to the weather but Ricky has managed to come through with a top result. Racing in Prontrilas, Herefordshire yesterday, Ricky, riding his Anderson ATV Suzuki LT-R450, had a tricky start in the first race but worked really hard to finish in 5th place. By the second race Ricky, who was set to finish in 6th place in the championship, was fired up to increase his finishing position. He came in second and upped his finishing position overall to 4th place.
This was a fantastic result for Ricky and the Anderson ATV team as the final round of the QRA Motocross Championship was set to be in September. They only learnt recently that the last round had been cancelled due to an unfinished track and so they had even more hopes rested in the race yesterday.
Paul Anderson is delighted with the result. Speaking earlier today he commented, “I am really pleased for Ricky. He did a great job yesterday and to go from 6th place to 4th place in the championship, in one day is a fantastic result. The Suzuki LT-R450 has been superb, as predicted, and we are really pleased overall with this season of racing.”
Ricky will be racing again this coming weekend at the Pont-de-Vaux enduro race in France. Also racing will be K4 Off Road’s, Andrew Davies.
