Team Anderson ATV Suzuki rider Carl Bunce matched his best overall finish of the season this weekend, with 4th place in round seven of the MMX Championship at Leuchars, Fife. Confident with his LT-R450 set-up, Bunce battled through the dry and dusty track conditions to claim a 6th place in race one. An improved performance in race two saw him blast past rivals Leon Beda, Stefan Murphy and Paul Winrow to claim a 4th position finish. The hero from last round, Mark Watson, was involved in an accident in race one, forcing him to retire from the race with a minor injury. He attempted to compete in race two, however the injury proved too painful, making him pull into the pits before the race was over. Team manager Paul Anderson commented, “The weekend was great for Carl Bunce and unfortunate for Mark Watson. Our key focus now is on Carl’s overall championship result, his consistent finishes have paid off and he’s now only two points behind Leon Beda in 4th position.” Overall round seven results: 1st John Mitchell, 2nd Jason MacBeth, 3rd Paul Winrow, 4th Carl Bunce, 5th Stefan Murphy, 6th Leon Beda, 7th William Waggott, 8th Justin Reid, 9th Paul Holmes, 10th James Behan. Team Anderson ATV Suzuki will be travelling to Blaxhall, Suffolk for the next round on 16th August.
