SUZUKI RIDER BUNCE STEALS WIN IN FINAL SUPERCROSS ROUND
Anderson ATV Suzuki rider Carl Bunce took the race win at the final round of the British Supercross Championship at The O2 Arena in London last weekend.

An adrenaline pumping build up and no start gates meant the race was delayed with a false start. After an epic re-start with riders battling to get the holeshot into the first corner, Bunce powered off the line and slotted into third position.

Passing fellow Suzuki rider Oli Samson on the first set of jumps, Bunce held onto second throughout the race until the final lap. When race leader Paul Holmes’ early celebration left him riding one-handed, Bunce seized the opportunity and muscled past in the final corner to take the race win. Even after missing the Liverpool round Bunce’s race win meant a credible 5th place in the overall championship.

After the race Carl commented “My aim was to get a good start and get to the front early on as there aren’t many places to overtake. It’s a very physical track, designed for bikes but my Suzuki LT-R450 had a great set-up and handled it superbly”.

Carl Bunce is riding for the Suzuki backed Anderson ATV team in the British MMX Championship this year in the 2009 QRA Endurance Championship.

ANDERSON ATV TAKE TWO TOP TENS
Anderson ATV Suzuki GB Racing TeamThis weekend Carl Bunce and Mark Watson of Team Anderson ATV both achieved top ten positions at round 6 of the ACU British MMX Quad Championship at Blaxhall Pits, nr Woodbridge.

Bunce, onboard his Suzuki LT-R450, who qualified in 4th got a good start in the first race and managed to hold this position throughout the 14 laps. Watson, also on the LT-R450, started on the grid in 9th but had moved up to 7th by the end of lap one. After 10 laps Watson was in 5th sitting behind his team-mate where he stayed until the chequered flag.

In race two, Watson had another good start and had worked his way up the pack into 4th by the end of lap one and into 3rd by lap four. Watson then spent the next 9 laps battling with Maessen over 3rd. Unfortunately a rut at the end of the final lap toppled Watson, however, a swift remount meant he still managed a 5th for the second race and 6th overall.
