Anderson ATV started their assault on the QRA Quad MX Championship this Sunday (06/04/08) at Whiteway Barton in Devon. With the weather keeping everybody on their toes and a completely new line up for Anderson ATV, nobody knew what to expect.

Carl Bunce the experienced rider of the team of two unfortunately seemed to struggle finding his groove. In the first race a poor start and a couple of falls saw him not being able to show what he is really capable of, finishing in 21st place. Carl was hindered with further bad luck in the second race when after a good start he got a puncture. Despite the speed of the team in the pits, the narrow track meant that regardless of Carl’s perseverance he could not up make the lost time and finished in 22nd place.

Anderson ATV’s second rider for the season is Mark Watson. Mark pulled up to the start line with the experience of only three races on an ATV! However his knowledge of racing gained on his journey to becoming the current British Sidecar champion with his brother certainly shone through. Mark had two very solid races achieving 6th place in race one and 5th place in race two. This overall meant that Mark left Devon with a 4th place overall only falling shy of the podium by 3 points.

Team manager Paul Anderson commented, “Mark’s results today we absolutely fantastic. This is a really solid start to the season and a really good achievement. Hopefully we can continue to build on this and have a successful season”.
